Lighting that works as hard as the people inside it.
When Hallmarc set out to enhance their Collins Street head office, the goal was clear: create a space that reflects the company’s design sensibility while supporting the evolving needs of a modern workplace.
With lighting playing a crucial role in both function and feel, L&T was engaged to deliver a tailored solution that balanced efficiency, comfort, and architectural integrity. The result is a refined, light-filled environment that not only complements the building’s character but actively contributes to the wellbeing and productivity of its occupants.

As workplace expectations continue to evolve, so too does the need for environments that inspire productivity, reflect company identity, and support wellbeing.
Hallmarc, one of Melbourne’s leading industrial property developers, set out to achieve exactly that with the refurbishment of their Collins Street head office.
The brief was to deliver a lighting solution that would elevate the experience of the space, both aesthetically and functionally, for a variety of users across the business.

With a long-standing relationship built on trust and consistency, L&T were a natural partner for this project. Our ability to interpret both the architectural and operational needs of a workspace, while remaining adaptable to the realities of construction, meant we could offer a balanced, informed approach.
Our partnership with Unios also gave the team confidence in the performance, longevity, and aesthetic integration of the products selected.

L&T worked closely with Hallmarc and Next Generation Electrical to deliver a lighting package that was both technically sound and visually refined.
The design featured a layered approach using a range of Unios fittings including recessed and suspended linear profiles, Titanium G2 downlights, Apex surface mounts, and LX Series strip lighting from Unios.
Each luminaire was chosen to support different zones of the office, from task-oriented areas to more open, collaborative spaces, ensuring visual comfort, colour consistency, and a cohesive architectural language throughout.

The result is a bright, modern workspace that feels warm and intentional. Lighting has been subtly integrated into the building’s existing features, contributing to a sense of ease and clarity across the office.
More than just ticking the box on lighting requirements, this solution enhances the day-to-day experience for those who use the space, supporting productivity and reinforcing Hallmarc’s commitment to quality design.
