Long Song

Atmospheric bar & restaurant lighting

Classified as “not-just-a-bar and definitely not a restaurant,” David Moyle’s atmospheric eatery above Longrain in Melbourne was a converted horse stable, boasting original floors, exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and a selection of luminaires supplied by L&T.

Lights for sophisticated, modern ambiance

A signature element of this project was the timber-slatted feature walls, which were backlit with indirect LED lighting to create a warm, ambient backdrop. Wall lanterns paid homage to the authenticity of the building, and unique feature pendants situated throughout the venue gave the space a sophisticated feel.

Completed with the overhead display of glowing lanterns - designed by Jan Flook and evoking Thailand’s traditional floating lantern ritual, the designers behind this venue have delivered a truly unique dining experience.
