Hero ACMI

The hero of Federation Square’s dining precinct

Paying homage to Jacques Tati’s modernist film Playtime, Hero ACMI — located in Melbourne’s Federation Square — is a work of restaurant art created by incomparable architecture studio Chris Connell Design. Functionality meets beauty in its use of monochromatic colour schemes with pops of colour, and stainless steel accents with gridded ceilings, making for an award-winning dining space.

Innovative lighting illuminating striking interiors

Lighting from Unios provided the opportunity for us to illuminate this spectacular space with a unique and modern design in the form of a custom gridded ceiling, which highlights and unifies the distinctive constructs of perforated wall panelling and terrazzo concrete in this aesthetically pleasing space.
